Egg Tuesday – Omelet fillings!

May 4, 2010

hope this finds you eating good and doing good!

On Saturday, I had the opportunity to help feed a hot egg breakfast to nearly 300 men and women aboard the USS Porter Battleship as part of the Good Egg Project. Without fail, the most requested dish I was asked to cook by the crew was the omelet. One of the keys to making a great omelet is understanding how to cook the eggs. The second part is making the filling irresistibly delicious. Check out the video and see how to turn your random leftovers into the best omelet you’ve ever had! Idea: Cook a batch of fillings out of what’s in your refrigerator ahead of time and then just microwave a spoonful and add it to your scramble or omelet with minimal effort. Enjoy!

NEW and EXCITING: A $5,000 grant for your child’s classroom! The “Good Egg Project Back to Breakfast Teacher Challenge” is open to teachers in grades 1-8 in the United States.
